About the Job
Progressive company is seeking a highly motivated, quality minded and dependable individual with a minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience. This position requires a self-starter with strong problem solving skills who can read and interpret blue prints and complete a wide variety of turning and/or milling operations. This position requires strong experience and confidence in the tool selection, setup and operation of CNC lathes and/or mills.

Duties:
§ Select tooling required by program, set tools precisely and with maximum rigidity to achieve best surface finish and dimensional repeatability.
§ Bore or Mill jaws as required for setup
§ Indicate parts as needed to validate their alignment and TIR
§ Proof out new programs and conduct 1st article inspection
§ Manage tooling and tool wear offsets to maintain machined dimensions within .0005". Tolerances are typically .002-.005 on most jobs, some jobs have tolerances less than .0005".
§ Ensure machined parts are within drawing specified tolerances, parts are cosmetically acceptable and protected from damage
§ Good knowledge of G-Code programming - must be able to make simple program edits such as feed and speed adjustments, material size adjustments, adjustments for shaft taper and etc.
§ Experience on Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls a plus
§ Must be able to solve problems with tooling and machine setups
§ Adjust machining parameters as needed to achieve highest throughput possible

Potential candidates must display a stable and dependable work history. Must be available to work overtime hours during the week and work an occasional Saturday.

Standard Shift: 11-13 hours/day Monday-Friday (flexible hours), Weekends as needed depending on work load.
