Broadview, IL manufacturer seeks experienced Material Manager/Purchasing Manager. Job duties/requirements are:

- Manages the purchasing and inventory control functions for raw materials and other essential materials for the manufacturing process
- Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues, to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Interfaces with Plant Manager & other management on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.
- Experience with lean manufacturing required.
- Locates vendors of materials, supplies or equipment and manages these relationships on behalf employer
- Regularly communicates with vendors to improve product flow, improve time-line management and reduce costs
- Researches and analyzes the market and transportation delivery systems in order to assess current and future material availability.
- Maintains records of goods that are ordered and received.
- Highly competent in use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
