Description

Global leader in the manufacture and distribution of systems integration products for video, audio and data systems has an immediate opening for an energetic, driven and detail oriented CNC Machinist to operate our high-speed milling center. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-speed milling centers, CAM software and AutoCAD. This is a hands-on position with responsibilities from CNC program generation through manufacturing.


Duties:

• Use CAD/CAM software to generate CNC code.

• Generate CNC programs from Customer CAD drawings.
• Generate CNC programs from output of our proprietary CAD software.
• Draw custom parts for items not existing in proprietary CAD software using AutoCAD.
• Run simulations on NC code prior to production to ensure accuracy.
• Produce parts on new, high speed CNC milling center.
• Creating part symbols for inclusion in proprietary CAD software using AutoCAD.
• Perform secondary processing, including engraving with paint-fill.
• Support engineering, manufacturing & marketing departments with 2D CAD requirements.

Requirements Skills:

• High-speed CNC Milling Center operation experience
• AutoCAD experience
• CAM Software experience.

• Tool selection.
• Feeds and speeds.
• Milling different materials, i.e., aluminum, plastic
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills, i.e., use of Windows computers and MS Office programs.
• Strong geometry skills.
• Ability to create CAD drawings from actual parts as well as factory drawings.

Education:

1 - 4 years experience as CNC/Machinist/Programmer or equivalent training.
