CNC Responsibilities:

·Programming CNC equipment tool paths and tool changes using MasterCam and Unigraphics software
·Re-design current mold components to improve their efficiency and longevity
·Re-design current final molded products as part of the product development process.
·Perform dimensional reverse engineering projects to create electronic data bases
·Train peers on basic CNC operation
Participate in design review meetings for new tooling
·Create CNC files per every new components and keep them updated for future reference
·Maintain updated the CNC network infrastructure in the tool room
·Keep control of CNC consumable

Other Responsibilities:

·Support toolmakers during busy hours and absenteeism (mold repairs) by:
All other tool making functions, including, but not limited to:
o Cleaning and servicing tools and components.
o Inspecting tools for damage or wear.
o Assisting with installation of machining and tool making equipment.
·Attends internal meetings to help establish priorities and assign tasks.
·Instructs others, formally and informally, regarding tooling related skills and knowledge.
·Maintain the quality standard of general housekeeping and preventative maintenance.
·Documents equipment status and ensures spare parts supply is adequate.
·Keeps current on new technology and developments in regards to areas of responsibility, as time allows.
