| Small Precision Tools, an international manufacturer of Semiconductor Tools and Ceramic Injection Molded parts, located in Petaluma, California has an immediate opening for a Mold Maker. Successful candidate will have a solid background in designing, creating and/or repairing injection molds consistent with company specifications that produce flawless products in ceramic or plastic materials along with solid knowledge of molding complex miniature components and processes. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Completion of Mold Makers Apprentice program or ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications and drawings. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals including safety training. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Managers, Engineers and Production personnel. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Proficient in all areas of shop math including plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
