Will you be rendering them in another application?
Well my attemts to learn Rhino are taking much longer then required.
I need several models made:
Baseball Field
Softball Field
Tennis Court
Basketball Court
How will these models be used? They will be placed on top of a drawing of a piece of land for use in a presentation on how things might look. The ability to size them depending on the size of the media they are printed is required.
The models should show dirt (reddish brown), grass or turf (cross hatch mow pattern would be cool), green texture surface for court areas (striping for foul lines, out-of-bounds lines, etc.
Additional item like perimeter fencing, bleachers, backfield fences, etc. I would like to eventually have.
I can provide you with links to a site with dimensions http://www.diamondpro.com/fields.html
http://www.xsports.com/dimensns.html (Tennis Court)
http://www.basketball-goals.com/bask...dimensions.htm
If you need additional information please contact me via this site, or email me at ViperTX@hotmail.com.
I would like a all bids by 11 August 2005. You can either bid on a single model, all models, etc. Good luck and thank you for your consideration.
The models will become the sole property of ViperCNC.

good point Gerry....I'm a novice at this....so rendering, what does it allow me to do? Is this where you take different models and place them on a layout and add lighting effects?
Rhino does have rendering features built in, although they are quite basic. There are many plug-ins available (Flamingo is quite well known), though I would think the rendering built-in to Rhino will be adequate for architectural mock-ups.Originally Posted by ViperTX

What I'm getting at is does Rhino let you use texture maps? And if you're rendering with something else, usually the textures are applied in the rendering app.
