Job Description

We are currently seeking a strong CNC Machining Manager for a fast-paced, multi-shift operation. This is a hands-on position requiring the ideal candidate to manage all activities of the Machining Department.

Responsibilities:

 Supply positive leadership to the Machining Department.
 Responsible for machining quotations, part and tooling design concepts, process methods, part and tooling pricing, and tooling procurement.
 Implement and monitor procedures and work instructions to support an ISO/TS16949 quality system.
 Assure that capable tooling is available for timely startup and production.
 Evaluate and recommend new technology and ideas for increased production efficiency and utilization, and reduced scrap.
 Evaluate capital equipment, justify, and write capital requests.
 Participate in and ensure completion of corrective actions.
 Evaluate departmental supervisors, engineers, and setup personnel on job performance.
 Develop personnel through classes, seminars, and in-house training.
 Recommend and implement annual department goals and objective.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience managing in a production machining environment.
• Knowledge and experience programming, operating and maintaining horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers, as well as lathes, a must.
• Ability to read blue prints, and a through understanding of GRR, GDT, and Corrective/Preventive Action a must.
• Computer literate with ability to run Microsoft Office programs a must.
