![]() I am in need of a machine shop that can make some parts for me. I need 30 sets of the above pictured jig (330 parts total). The sooner the better, but I have to have them by March 12th. (important!) I would prefer someone local to the Mpls/St.Paul area, but if you're within the USA and can do it, let me know. Materials are to be provided by you. All parts are aluminum, and standard sizes of structural aluminum (4"x4" I-beam, 3" U-channel). A finished sample will be provided along with prints. PDF & DWG can be found here: http://www.bikiniduck.com/images/tem...inumBlocks.zip Additional notes: Finished parts need to be bead blasted or tumbled to remove any mill markings. (The shinier the better, but cost is important.) Questions/comments please send me a PM or email at: martin AT bikiniduck DOT com Thanks! --Martin-- -edit- If something doesn't make sense, let me know. My CAD guy is an architect by trade, and doesn't know all the machining terminology or markings. Last edited by mrquacker; 02-16-2011 at 07:39 PM. |

| This is still available if anyone would like to submit a quote. If you cannot find the I beam or U channel locally, I can order them from the local mill and ship them to you along with the sample pieces. I also forgot to mention that I would be looking to place re-orders every few months. Thanks! |

| Hi, We are a local machine shop located in Buffalo, MN. We specialize in building fixtures for companies. Just saw you RFQ and we would be interested in quoting this job for you. Is it still available? The dimensions are called out as 4 place digits. Are you looking to hold +/- .0005 or can the tolerences be .005? Contact Mike @ Inventitives phn 763-684-1131. |

| Thanks for all who contacted me, the job has been awarded. Like I said, my cad guy is an architect, he went by what the calipers told him, not what makes sense. Tolerances of 0.010" would be fine in this case. 0.0005" would be unnecessary overkill. |
