RFQ cutting various shapes out of vinyl records

hey looking to have random shapes and designs cut out of old vinyl records.
ill be putting clock mechanisms through the center so they can be hung on a wall. will start off with 20 - 30 diff designs and i will provide the records to be cut. would prefer you to be in midwest or even better actually in missouri.

none of the design will be too detailed. ive made a few with a dremel by hand but when i comes to time and detail i just dont have the patience.

i have a price in mind but would rather hear what you think your time is worth.
if the project turns out profitable i will have more work in the near future.

thanks for your time.
please quote for 30 records and we will go from there.

I am not interested but you should clarify if the 30 are all the same or 5 each of 6 different styles. Also put up a sample with a rough outside dimension. Just record size isn't good enough for a rough guess. It could be a simple quick square or something involved like a snow flake.

alright so i would need 20 individual designs with only one copy of each. and 5 more designs with two copies of each. many of the designs would be ordered again. and next time possibly in multiples.

heres two examples. the red dot implies the center of the record but if it can moved no more than an inch or two and make the overall image larger than that would be best. the entire image should be included on the record.

when the person is ready to commit i will have all of the files ready to go with the dot exactly where i would like it. these examples are very rough estimates and the same is okay for someone making a test piece. i also have included an example i made myself using a dremel by hand...

You are going to need to increase your prices quite a bit if you are cutting vinyl with your laser. I'm thinking about $1,000 each piece because after 20 or 30 pieces you are going to be replacing your laser. Vinyl, PVC, emits chlorine gas when you laser it. The chlorine gas mixes with the moisture in the air and the result is hydrochloric acid, this will destroy your laser in no time at all. Oh, and figure in the cost of a lung transplant and/or funeral, the fumes will either kill you or destroy your lungs.

Other than that I think your quote is pretty good...

You know what I mean. Ha ha, I wish these noobs would do their homework before bidding. They make us all look bad. I never used a laser, but I suppose burning plastic or burning vinyl is the same whether you use a laser or a good ole match.
