I need some parts made from red oak boards. The parts are made with a simple profile cut by a 1/8" bit. The wood I am using is sustainably harvested. Because I will be supplying the wood I need the quote to only include cutting the parts and boxing them up. They need to be free from any tabs or large burrs (ready to be sanded). To start, please give me a quote for the attached parts. I need: 500 "Truck MB.dxf" made from 3/4"(after planing) boards and 1000 "Truck PN.dxf" made from 1/2" boards I have a preferred grain direction for each of these. I have other parts I need done that are similar in scope. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Hyrum Fairbanks PE |

| You do realize that you have square inside corners and a bunch of radii that are less than 1/8" right? Are you saying that whatever a 1/8” bit can cut is OK for the sake of what you want? This might be a laser job but, at those thicknesses, I don't know if that would work or not.

| Yeah, I realize there are sharp corners that can't be cut out with a 1/8" bit. I specified that I wanted a 1/8 bit because that's the level of detail I want. I do not want these to be laser cut. I already made a few of these on a bench top milling machine so I know what they look like cut with a 1/8" bit. I'm just not set up to make thousands of them. Thanks, Hyrum

| You also mentioned a preferred grain direction. That will affect how many you can nest to a single board. If the grain direction is parallel to the ground on your models, my guesstimate is you'd get 12 parts per board. Does that sound right?
