I would like to get some quotes on getting this seemingly simple part machined. The part is for a 4x5 view camera that is no longer produced. It's basically a 0.5 inch alumnium rod with a 0.25 inch deep slot cut into it. The width of the slot is 0.10" inch at the top of the slot and 0.09" at the bottom. So it's slightly tapered. The overall length of the rod should be 6 inches. I can provide the existing part as a guide. Can anyone give me some preliminary estimates with the information provided? |
