| You aren't going to want them. They're going to be waaaayyy too expensive in the small quantities you're looking for. Find a proper, off-the-shelf design and stick with it. Wasting peoples time on quotes that will never be fulfilled ain't cool. I knew I'd seen those hinges before: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/genera...et_hinges.html

That's 25.40 for a PAIR of hinges...4 individual pieces. $6.35 per piece, material included. You want them CNC machined and nickel plated for less. It can't be done.

| You guys are in different countries, that can make a difference. Also if you get some garage guy to do them he is probably charging a much lower hourly rate than someone who is running a real company. Correctly tooled up I could probably run those parts at four minutes a piece without polishing or assembly so you figure out what price I should charge to stay in business over the long term.

| Maybe the best option is for you to buy your own equipment and make these yourself. Then you will have an appreciation as to the costs involved...experience, ability, machines, tooling, material, finishing, etc. Machinists and machine shops already run on margins that most other businesses would run from. It's unrealistic to expect "freebies" from them so that you can make your living. |

| Did I not say that I already have someone to make these and they sent me the price, I did not screw them into the ground. I can appreciate the time involved but someone has quoted me for milling & plating them and and I have ordered a prototype, so someone can make them. Why should I hike my prices, I have someone who can make them who has the machinery and is quite happy to do them, this could be future work for him at 100 sets a run. Just to clear things up he does not live in the USA. |

How about let me, the guy who owns this shop bid if I feel I can make money and the rest of you A$$holes keep your opinions to yourself . Oh! by the way my shop is in my garage and it is a real shop! Another pointless comment. ![]() I cannot believe with the attitudes displayed here that any of you get work at all. This is the customer you are whinning too. Go work a WalMart. |
