Need help getting setup SW Colorado | | I hope it's appropriate to post this here. I couldn't think of a better place.
I'm building a light electric dirt bike and finally have my shop all setup. I have a MicroProto DSLS3000 4 axis Micro Mill with Mach3 software and have been attempting to use G-Simple to make code. I do alright with 2D CAD, did some basic cnc stuff on an Emco F-1 mill in high school but the new software is killing me.
Here's the deal. I need to get started making parts for this prototype as quickly as possible. I'm a very fast learner and do have some experience. What I need is for someone that's familiar with these two programs and small mills to come over and help get me set up, like a mini training session. I know that it will take a loong time to get proficient at CNC maching on my own but most of the parts I need to cut are very similar so a hands on lesson on setting up and machining one could apply to most of them. I'm just talking about a short long session or two depending on how things go and where you are.
Here's the kicker. My shop is out in the middle of nowhere...Mancos, CO to be exact. The machinists around here don't play with small tools or software so I haven't been able to find any help locally. This is just a shot in the dark, but if you're nearby or willing to come here and would like to help, just let me know what you'd need to make it worth your while and we'll go from there!
Thanks,
