The individual I am looking for must be strong in 5-axis and have UG experience. We are working with adaptive programming and more specifically someone must have experience in macro programming. One of the more advanced companies is this type of experience is Delcam. He came from Delcam and had the exposure and some experience that we are looking for. I would focus my search for active or ex-Delcam programmers and you will most likely have the right person. It is tough to specifically tell you the skill set in any other way than I have described above. General machine shop knowledge and programming 5-axis in a general machine shop is miles away from the complexity of airfoils that at a minimum require strong 5-axis experience and then a more advanced skill set is writing macros or sub-routines to enhance the 5-axis programming even further to accomplish machining complex geometries.
