A position in our 3D milling modeling department has opened up. We are a Special Effects facility in Wellington New Zealand called Weta Workshop. Visit the Website at Weta Workshop for an idea of what we do. The job opening is for a cnc machine operator/ programmer/model maker who will be setting up and running a number of cnc routers. We use a combination of software packages Rhino, SolidWorks, Zbrush, Freeform for Cad operations and have licenses for Artcam and Powermill to program the machines. We also use Laser scanning technology to produce digital models for further processing.

I am writing on this forum because it's an opportunity to make contact with people who are passionate about CNC and are looking for more than the average job. A number of our machines were built in house and driven by Mach 3, so this could be an ideal position for a young enthusiastic technically minded person wanting to start their career in an exciting industry. Attitude is more important than experience, you will be working with a team of friendly professionals on a variety of different projects in Film, TV, Museum, and public art sculpture.

Why cant I find a job like this in the United states. Been a tool and Die maker/Mold maker for 30 years now . Teach CnC programing for H.C.C. Work full time for a airconditioner mfg company. Have a shop at home where I make cnc machines and modle gas engines...What a awsome oppertunity for some lucky person. If you dont have any luck let me know..?

I have more than two and half year working experience under the cnc machinieres as Production engineer at Thailand as well I have attended many international shows as exhibitor as a cnc machine installation tech. such shows Metalex Bangkok Thailand, Taitronic Chennai India, etc... Due this ecconomy slip i lost my job, now I am seeking new job.
Now I am in Sri Lanka. If I get any opportunity to work, I am very happy to join with any company such a industry
