I need a rough estimate on how much these would cost to machine. Everything can be cut from 1/2" aluminum plate. Overall dimensions are shown in the pictures for simplicity. If you need more specifics please Private message me. I need a ballpark price. Some of the holes need to be tapped after machined. If you can do this as well it would be a plus but not required whatsoever. The inside square corners i can fillet or chamfer as well if that makes it easier for you to get a endmill in there. please advise. I can modify to accommodate. Plans are 95% done. Very slight modifications will be implemented. I will send you the final plans via email, or post them up in the next few days. For the sake of time though, please shoot me a rough quote. I need this done asap. It converts my cnc mill X axis from ballscrew to rack and pinion drive. ![]() Here is a link to the huge thread i have posted about the rebuilding of my machine if you care to read. http://cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103291 Thanks!!!! |

| If you have Solidworks and would like the the files as well, please email me and i will send you over the zipped up parts and assemblies folder. It contains all the drawings as well as the full 3D files. It is roughly 5-6 Megs in size. Please bring any missing dimensions to my attention. Thank you. diyengineer AT Gmail dot com |

| I am going a different direction. Instead of 1/2" 6061 Aluminum I need someone to use a router or mill to cut the parts from MDF or plastic (1/2"). You can buy a whole sheet of MDF just about at any lowes store or home depot for $20 bucks. I'm going to start a new thread, consider this one dead. Going to use the routed pieces as a mold and cast them out of aluminum using green sand which i have had great results doing. This opens up the job to almost anyone with a router cnc. The holes do not need to be tapped just bored through as indicated. Since this changes things up a bit please Re-apply in the new thread of PM me. thank you very much! |
