Let me start off by saying that I am looking to build a good working relationship as I have thoughts brewing for other projects. Basic DXF files are already made. Looking for, an introductory, total of 50 (15/35) of two slightly different mounting plates. Plenty more to come. Plate size: 14.9" x 2.9" Ten circular holes. Four are 1.2", four .2", and two .33". I will be tapping the .2 holes for 1/4-20 so it needs to be reasonably accurate, rules out plasma. 1/4" or 15/64" aluminum. Ability to engrave is desired as I may want to add that into the quote. 13 characters 3/8" tall in the bottom center of the plate. NOT required at this time. Alloy does not matter, the cheaper the better. Piece will be powder coated but a decent surface finish is a must. Reply to the thread with any questions, PM me with quotes. Edit: Located in Northern Virginia |

| You could do that part with a high degree of accuracy with plasma, and at the lowest cost. For the small holes that you will tap....let the plasma torch cut them undersize as a location...then use a drill press to properly size the holes after cutting. Should be able to keep hole locations within a pus or minus about .005". Here is a pic of a recent aluminum job done on my plasma system. These were done with an air plasma on a low cost cnc machine.....could be much better if done on a precision machine with a high definition plasma system. Jim Colt |
