Smile CNC Routing - 13 Custom Newel Posts - Oak

    Folks,
I'm building a custom house for my family and myself. I am almost finished and now (in the next 5 weeks) need of approximately 13 newel posts for the stairs and 2 loft areas. I have designed a few variations on a generally Arts and Craft / mission theme. From this variety of designs I will be down-selecting to a single design which may be a combination of the features shown. While my taste is generally simple, my feeling is, if we are going to CNC, we may as well add a little flair. Attached are the CAD files for discussion and rough quotes. A final model will be submitted for a firm quote.

Although I don't have a CNC router yet (still building one), I do CNC programing and if necessary/beneficial, I could provide the toolpath / NC code to cut these.

    Raw Material
If you are relatively local (New England, NY, NJ) I would prefer to supply the 5x5 4S4 Red Oak stock (personally milled with a woodmizer and air dried 10-years). If you are further away it may not be cost effective for me to ship the stock around so please include material in your quote. Please separate the material cost, routing, and sanding. I will be finishing with light stain, glaze, and satin poly finish.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration!
    Please PM

Wink RFQ - No Bidders Yet? Custom Newel Posts

I wanted to apologize to all of you who may have looked at this post prior to the CAD files and image being attached. I experienced some technical difficulty.
    Please take a look.

I was hoping to find someone interested in this job. Anyone?
Come on - I know you guys can do it?
    Doesn't this look like fun?
    Is my desperation apparent yet?
I'd rather not hack these out by hand, as the results may not be pretty!

    Regards,
    Dan
