I am a toy designer looking for a manufacturer. Toys are made of 1/4" MDF/HDF (stained before cutting). We will take care of packaging and assembly, just need a CNC partner so secure materials and cut. Looking to make 500 each of 9 different toys, with more in the future. We have files ready to go. We are in Ohio - would be great if you're close by.
Please email ryan(at)gearedforimagination.com for more information, and thanks!

Nope. Didn't get the email. I did get a notification from the forum that you had replied to this thread though.
I emailed you from the link in your signature. Just wondering if you've gotten that?
I emailed the guy the day this posted, asking for more details...haven't heard back, either
for kids to chew on? I thought it was full of formaldehyde and other nasty chemicals. The FTC has put out a new set of onerous restrictions on what can be used for making toys (in reaction to the Chinese toy scandals of recent years) and it's requiring extensive, expensive testing of everything that goes into or onto them. Organically-grown sugar maple might pass (although you'd still have to pay for the tests), but I don't know about MDF...

Here's a story about one toy company that had to close because of this:
