First, here's the basics of what I need: Double-sided PCB 8x12 (possibly smaller) with traces milled, and holes drilled out. Quantity 2. I would like a rough quote for work done. Also if you provide the board, how much for the boards? Now, for my other questions. Since this is the first time I'm asking for CNC work... What file format is needed to make this as easy as possible? And what program is recommended? I have autocad 2000. I can export anything to pdf. This is to run the CNC machine I'm building. |

| if you want someone to machine it for you, then you need to provide a dxf of your traces you want milled. basically you will need to draw them up completely, not just a line drawing. you need the exact widths of the traces, both sides and all the hole locations and what sizes. i have made custom pcbs before but they were always single sided. double sided isn't that big of a deal but you need to be really careful on how you set up the second side. |
