We are looking for a Machine Builder to join our 2nd Shift manufacturing team. The successful individual will align, fit, and install structural component parts used in the initial and final assembly of mechanical and hydraulic products. This position will be responsible for the following activities:

• Align, fit, and install structural components (housings, cross members, squaring arms, slides, etc.);
• Move parts around work area with cab or floor operated cranes, using ropes, chains, and lifters;
• Lay out work for welder as required;
• Drill, ream, pin and tap holes, as required for assembly;
• File and grind surfaces for proper fit;
• Remove burrs and chips before assembling;
• Mount bolts, studs, blocks, connecting rods, guides, brackets, motors, brakes, flywheels, angle brackets, pumps, valves, gibs and ways, oil lines, back gauges, etc.
• Check fit for alignment and parallel to ensure smooth operation of moving parts and adjust as needed for proper clearance and function.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Associates or technical school degree, preferred
• 3+ years previous mechanical hands on experience, preferably with machine building
• Ability to read and interpret complicated blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Excellent math skills
