We have need for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team at our corporate headquarters in Mason, OH.

What You Will Do: The Quality Supervisor will be a key member of the Advanced Technology and Innovation team who drives quality improvement activities to ensure Apex product quality meets the customers' expectations. You will develop and maintain quality through audits and review of supplier metrics to ensure that Apex quality objectives are achieved. You will be working with key suppliers in our supply chain and will be expected to spend a significant amount of time on the road, at supplier locations.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• Working with suppliers, design engineering, and operations to address design issues, warranty issues and quality issues.
• Assessing quality performance of suppliers using statistical and analytical methods.
• Coordinating with suppliers relating to quality performance, trends and corrective action, verifying compliance and effectiveness of the quality system by performing supplier audits and surveys, and initiating programs to improve supplier performance.
• Assuring the timely processing of supplier nonconforming materials and assists in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations.
• Participating on product development teams to review engineering releases and changes, manufacturing methods, planning, and process specifications as it relates to product quality.
• Applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing/production principles techniques to improve production.
• Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and making recommendations.
• Creating and conducting training sessions on quality control activities.

Candidate should enjoy being a self-motivated team player who does what it takes to get the job done, and have:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead cross functional teams in problem solving.
• Experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, product models and GD&T.
• Experience working with sheet metal, structural components, and electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience conducting and leading Capability Studies, Gage R&R Studies and a strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of standard quality tools and programs such as ISO9000, Six Sigma, FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis).
• Experience in helping suppliers implement quality improvement activities and programs.
• ASQ certification preferred.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Epicor experience a plus.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 75%.
