About the Opportunity
Due to expansion, Sicom Industries Ltd. is seeking a full*-time Manual Machinist to join their team located at 27385 Gloucester Way, Langley, BC Canada V4W 3Z8, a suburb of Vancouver.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating a range of machine tools including lathes and/or milling machines. Preference will be given to those who have an IT background along with the ability to program the Computer Numerical Control Machining Equipment.
More specifically, you will:
Operate/set up Manual Machines (mills, lathes);
Design fixtures;
Calculate mathematical formulas to determine part dimensions; and
Perform inspection on completed parts.
This full time role requires individuals with at least 5 years of machining experience in the industry, paired with set up experience and a strong mechanical aptitude.
