    Emco ET360 parts catcher problem

Have a Emco 360ET with the Siemens 810 control and siemens 611 drives and can't get the parts catcher to work. When I give it a m24 and check the diagnostics there is no out put for the parts catcher to rotate in. Everything else on the lathe seems to work. Have checked settings bit and the parts catcher is turned on according to what Emco tells us..

Either it's disbled in the control or there is some other input that is keeping it from working. Have been talking with Emco about this for a number of weeks now and everything they have suggested checking has not helped so far.

Anyone else run into a problem with this?

found the problem today. Emco europe told Emco USA to have us check input 10.2. Wire was loose. Input 10.2 is one of the door interlock inputs. The "safety circuit boards" send three signals to the CNC control. If it doesn't see this particular one you get no alarms, everything works normal except the parts catcher which will not work at all and the program does does not even come to a stop when you give it the parts catcher mcode, it just blows right by it and keeps machining.

Still trying to get a print out of the ladder from Emco as I have no idea how you are suppose to troubleshoot stuff like this without it. Waiting on them to drip feed you information means it takes weeks to troubleshoot something like this instead of just a few minutes to an hour or so.
