Im stumped! I have a fanuc Alpha 1C wire edm with a 16-w control. A couple of days ago i was jogging the z axis upwards and got an alarm #409. This made no sense since there was no obstruction to cause a torque alarm. So I hit the reset button to release the alarm which it did. However, now i cannot jog nor step up or down the z axis without getting an alarm #409. I thought it could be the servo motor so swaped the motor with the x axis and the motor works fine down there. What could it be? A circut of some sort? I know its not one of the amplifiers since they are not generating any alarms. Can anyone help me with this issue? |
