Mitsubishi DWC alignment issues...

Hello, we just had to replace the lower ceramic bit on our machine and now can't seem to line up our y-axis with the alignment tool.

It seem to flash the lower and upper guide lights but never seems to hook up as it should. We tried moving the lower axis around manually but it does not seem to be moving although it is registering on the screen as such.

Nothing is quite making sense at this point. There seems to be a little bit of knowledge that we are missing for what seemed to be a simple repair.

Any help appreciated.

Buy me a Beer?

Are you saying that your machine is not moving in the Y axis but the screen is saying you are? or is everything moving but wont wire align due to the red/green light flashing?

wire...

update...we gave up using the mitsu supplied non acidic cleaner as it was not working for sh$@@ and after checking the forums to find the same problem, we used diluted (10-1) CLR and luckily did not ruin our guides (or hopefully do much damage).

We have the machine working now but it seems to randomly stop as if there is a bad ground. I checked to install of the ceramic insulating plate and it does not seem much to it. The machine has worked incredibly the past year.

On th clr issue and using it full strength (#@@@)...We do have an old guide with a separted diamond. I wonder if there if there is anything to bond it back....

update....(blush)....

..the operator did not know to maintain/rotate the power feed contacts. It wore a good groove and mostly worked well until we replaced the ceramic plate.

thanks
