My Sodick AQ 560 is having problems threading with a full or nearly full 22lb. spool of wire. When it attempts to thread, the wire goes slack between the spool and the first bobbin, when the backtension on the spool catches up, it jerks the wire, and the machine thinks that it is threaded, but it isnt. I was told to adjust the "STD back tension" in increments of 10 until it smoothed out; the inital setting was/is 085; I stopped at 200 and it still wasn't any better. Does anybody have any thoughts? Thanks, Mark |

| there are a few settings you may try. Std awt backten controls the tension while threading. I usually set this to about 125-135. make sure that back tension select is set to 0 (first settings page) If it is a value of 1-5 it is using tension settings from another place. Try adjusting AWT 2 FEED SPEED to 100. This will slow down the speed that the wire is coming off of the spool while trying to thread. |
