Hi, I am having trouble with brass build up on my first cut. It makes removing the slug very difficult. Does anyone know what causes this? Thank You, larswebb

| I may have found a solution! I was using equal upper and lower flush pressure on 1" D-2. Now I'm using higher pressure on the lower guide, it seems to help. I also raised the upper guide to about .030 above the work piece. I'm learning this machine on my own with the aid of a old Sodick manual. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, larswebb

| Agreed, we have a machine that has a broken lower power cable at the moment and we get it when we shove a good few handfuls of amps through a workpiece.. |

| We've never been able to find a reliable test for the the cables. They check the same either new or old (bad). You could try just removing the connections, cleaning them very well and reattaching them. A bad connection sometimes doesn't show much, but it's bad nonetheless. |
