TAB KEY WONT WORK

My tab key stopped working in Edgecam this morning and I don't know why. Any help? I've opened and closed Edgecam and it does work in other programs.

Have you tried running Windows in "Safe Mode" ?
A application may be loading that is using the Tab key.

If you're trying to use tab to cycle through a selection, sometime it doesn't work.

I pointed this out to a pathtrace rep.

His reply was 'sometimes it does that.'


Pretty much sums up the software really.

if you are trying to use the tab button on the design side of edgecam you might have to press the "v" button on you keyboard to turn on the verify option

I've found that if you activate the "Intellisnap" feature of Edgecam with any method other than using the 'shortcut' menu and selecting the "Intellisnap" option, the tab key won't work when trying to tab between highlighted entities.

The solution to this problem is to always turn on the "Intellisnap" feature by selecting it in the 'shortcut' menu by right-clicking in the graphics area of the screen and selecting the "Intellisnap" option.

Never activate the "Intellisnap" feature by just clicking the v key on your keyboard as the tab button won't work if you activate the "Intellisnap" feature that way. At least this has been my experience.
