    Question Kinematic Tree Warning

When we open a .ppf file in Edgecam 2009 R2 we get a warning stating
(Kinematic tree for this machine has changed. Reloading from the code generator.) Is there something that needs to be done to the file itself or the post? Wev'e re-compiled all code generator files and still get this. Is this just a conflict with older files compared with new?
    Anybody else get this message?

    Any insight would be great!

    Thanx

yes i got the same warning. I talk to my EC service person. He told me that i have to define the machine graphicly in the postprocesser. It dosent ned to be accurate just the axis (in my case X-Y-Z).
In the end i send the PP to the serviceman and he fixed in 10 min.
I can post a screenshot monday if you want.

    Hi,

In your postprocessor you need to have the kinematics defined in the kinematic tree. If you already have the kinematics defined, the message you get indicates a fault in your kinematics, you could maybe mistakenly have defined two X-axis.

    hope this helps

    Hi,

The warning about the kinematic tree is a bug in edgecam 2009 R2.
    Planit is investigating the problem.
But you should still check your kinematic tree logic !

Sorry for being late to provide screendump. Better late than never ;-)

I have put it in a word doc.

If you look at the picture you see the definition of X-Y-Z before this part was blank.
Hows its done i havent investigated further.
    Hope it helps
