Like the title said, I would like to know how to create part profile from the model so I can write Lathe program for it. I have been using Esprit and it is very easy and straight forward to do it, so I wonder would it be the same with Edgecam? Can you also create a layer for the part profile so you can turn it off if not using it? BTW I have Edgecam 12.5 loaded on my computer. Any helps or advices would be greatly appreciate. Tim |

| the feature finder will find and create 4 different types of turn profiles that automatically get saved to different layers. these are continuous features that remain associative to the solid model. From the solids menu you can also create line/arc geometry using the geometry command if memory serves. any piece of geometry can be moved to any layer in edgecam. |
