Is there a way to make my feedrate ramp up to speed in edgecam while facemilling? I am facemilling a part that is 49 inches long T1 material, I am using a mitsubishi cutter that feeds at 100ipm. when it first hits the part there is some chatter, but once fully under load (about 2 inches in)it settles down. I have already edited the program to do it manually, but just wanted to know if there is a way to do it in edgecam for future reference.

| Try to edit your face milling cycle, go to the Lead tab, and at the top where it says "Percentage Feed", put 50 in there. The lead in move will feed at 50% of the feedrate on the General tab. This feedrate will be applied until the radius of the cutter is into the area that you are cutting. I hope this helps. |
