| EdgeCam vs FeatureCam for milling We are looking to purchase software for 2 1/2d and 3d Milling. Looking for some views on one over the other. Also one of our programmers is very proficient with solidworks, if this may sway your preference. Thanks in Advance. Mark |

| EdgeCAM works perfectly with Solidworks. EC loads in the native file and can machine the solid itself or features that comes from the model. From what I have heard and seen in other shops, EC is going to give you way more control of your machining process than FeatureCAM, Espirit and MasterCAM. Plus when the model is updated, your toolpath updates as well. Get a hold of your local reseller and set up a demo, you will not be disappointed.
