| anyone using edgecam and tracecut 23/24 need a little help with creating a 3d model from an iges points cloud scanned using renishaw cyclone series 2 scanner. currently manufacturing using tracecut 23 which is not as versatile as edgecam. importing the points cloud in to edgecam is simple creating a 3d surface is the problem. any ideas?? |

| here are two files one(3dlft1) is an iges points cloud of a surfboard fin (skeg) and 3dlft10 is dxf lines on same scan . any ideas on creating a true surface fron this??? thanks for the replies on the bug post. |

| Hi There, There are two ways.....the first is to get a program from pathtrace called break.exe...i used to have this back in 1995, but have lost it through the years...this is still a ****ty way of generating a surface though. The second way is to get Geomagic Studio....which does it in a flash. Kind Regards. T_Rex |
