EDGECAM 2010 R 1 PRECAST STOCK

Hello,

Im working with Edgecam 2010 r1, and i would like to know if and how possible its to load a precast shape as a stock, instead of the conventional cylinder shape. We are turning a lot of precast shapes, and in EC we doing a lot of unnecesary operation like drilling and boring before we get the required shape.

Your comments and suggestion are welcome

Look under Stock - Shape - Digitize. You should be able to select a STL file (created previously) at this point.

Like txcncman told, you can digitise STL or a solid model and define it as stock. Load and align your model as normal. Then - File - insert - STL - /Solid


Turned Billet is another option 4 Irregular profile shape, casting and forging
premachined part. Look in your useguide how 2 create it "search Billet "
