Need Help!- Edgecam code generator

Hi all, I'm trying to generate code for a program in Edgecam, but I keep getting popup that reads:

Error Code: 24
Could not open output file.

I've seen this before, but never documented it. Does anyone know what is causing this alrm/message?

Q I'm receiving an error message 'Error Code : 24 could not open output file' when trying to generate NC Code?
A The error is normally caused when no file path or file name has been set for the CNC Name in the Generate Code dialog box.

Error 24 is caused by trying to post to a location that is not available.

For example trying to post to a P: drive that is not mapped or accessible.

Change where you are posting and it will resolve the issue.

Thanks for your help guys,that's exactly what the problem was. There is a box you can check off to "use part name". instead of browsing for the file.
