    How use Feature Finder in edgecam?

    Hello.

    The button "Feature Finder" is grey, what do i need to do with my drawing/object to use it?

    Feature Finder is 4 3D solid models like Inventor or Solidworks etc.

    Yes, but i open a dxf from AutoCAD... The model is ok, but i cant run Feature Finder" on it.. Here is a picture..

    Why i'd remember that i couldnt save solids as .dxf, or that .dxf isnt solid file. This is from outmemory, i'll have to test quickly in few hours when i go to work.

    Or if i could save it, it would re-open as wireframe(atleast when re-opened in part modeller).

    I might be totally wrong here, but this is quickly tested soonishly.

    Ok, after some testing and googling, i'll keep it plain and short, if i understood right that its most likely that your .dxf file cant have any solid geometrys. I opened x_t file at work with edgecam, and resaved it as .dxf

    Re-opened the saved .dxf file and the whole solid that i had was poof, gone

    And your picture looks more like surfaces, atleast to my eyes, might be edgecam settings, shrug.
