Unfortunately HAAS does not yet provide solid models for simulation to customers. However, it is good that you asked HAAS. They need to hear this from all their customers so that they realize how vital this is. Many other machine tool manufacturers are now providing solid models for simulation upon request. CAD functionality such as Autodesk Inventor's Shrinkwrap function make it easy to protect proprietary information while distributing functional solids for other applications.
The reality is that unless the manufacturer provides the solids, you will have to develop your own or purchase them from someone that has already done the work. Very few end users freely give away their own work that provides them with a competitive advantage.
You might want to start with the parametric graphics in Edgecam's Code Wizard. They provide ability to quickly create functional models for reasonable simulation. |
