Post for Mori Seiki SL-15 (Fanuc 16 TF2)

Hi, I need a pp. (EdgeCam) for my machine. I live in Norway and the dealer says that a pp. cost 20.000 NOK, ca. 4000 USD.

My machine is a two axes CNC lathe (1997).

Best regards,
Frøya :-)

Hello Froya,

Old Edgecam posts are not capable of
using all the new functions of the software.

You need a newer "adaptive" post.
I recommend you open the Code Wizard

- Start New Document
- Lathe
- 2 Axis
- Load default Parametric Graphics
- select template - adaptive moriseiki.cgt

*****

- Machine Setup Tab
Edit the dimensions / travels / number of stations / etc.
to match your machine.

*****

If your SL-15 is the (old) Yasnac control
- Code Generator Tab
- NC Style, G-Codes & Modality
- NC File General
- Reverse X Axis

*****

Open an Edgecam .ppf file - Generate code.
leave the Editor open.
Test your new post - in the Code Wizard
use the "Re-Run" button, this will regenerate
the same code using the new post,
every time you change something in the Code Wizard
Re-Run the output to see the changes in the NC code.

There is no UNDO button in the Code Wizard,
If you break it - you must manually undo your last change
