I got a new 3 inch 45 deg face mill (Mitsubishi ASX445R0306C). I am trying to figure out how to make and accurate tool diameter for it. The square inserts (SEMT13T3AGSN-JH) dont come to a point or radius, they have a .078 wide flat spot (F1). So the dimensions of the tool in the book says "D1" (small dia) is 3.000" , "D2" (large dia) is 3.520" and the "ap" (max depth of cut) is.236. but when i put them numbers in in the tool store, it doesn't match the flute length or "ap".

| the .059 radius at the corners has to be accounted for, set the numbers on the geometry tab, click the pencil icon to edit the graphic definition, click zoom extents - edit the cutter geometry to exactly match the actual tool - add the .059 radii (re) define the new cutter graphics save the tool graphic .csv file |
