| I have an Excel file with data on every standard drill size available between #97 and 1.0" drills. The file contains diameter, flute lengths, tip angles, speeds, feeds, etc. This got me to thinking... is there any way to import this type of data into the Edgecam Toolstore, in a manner where each tool will automatically be created? It sure would save a LOT of manual data input. Are there any techniques to do what I want, or something similar? What if a user were moving from a competitor's software to Edgecam? There should be some way to capture the tool library data that said user has gathered over the years. Regards, Chris |

| The edgecam toolstore is saved in a MS SQL database and the good news you can read and write in it with MS SQL Management Studio Express. if you are familiar with SQL you can extract current tools in the database and then just add new entries in the same style as the others. I also think you can connect excel to ms sql but i never tried this. (This is an untested approach but it should work) |
