    Solidworks link

    Has anyone succesfully installed the link from edgecam to solidworks ? I have tried several times but it either wont work or i cant find it after it is installed and there isnt any instructions if you have a problem.

    Works for me, i had some problems with it that eventually went away with updates.
    Might work if you reinstall Solidworks and Edgecam, but i'm just guessing.

    Check pictures

    The first picture shows how the button looks like in my solidworks.

    Second and third is how you activate cadlinks.
    But it should be active automatically after install so if you have to do this it probably means something isn't working as it should.

    if you are running 64x os and using R2010 then it wont work.
    DONT MIND MY SPELLING ... IM JUST A MASHINIST

    I Have used SW 2010 and EC 2010 R1 and R2 in vista 64bit and Win 7 64bit
    And it works for me.
    Remember to install cadlinks 64bit version.
    And i often have problems with installing if my user is not an admin.
    If you installed with normal non admin user and just run the program with "run as administrator" or klicked setup and got question for admin password it will not work most of the time.
    It seems sub programs startet by the setup proces get started as user processens instead of admin.
    Solution is to either logon as admin or add your acount to administrators, logout and login again and then install, and last of all remove this privelige again.
