Hi, Anyone know how to avoid the following problem? When machining several tapped holes in a tombstone layout i have to return to tool change position before indexing the tombstone. This works fine most of the time but when using a Tap instead of a drill the toolpath drawn in edgecam starts at the center of the tombstone instead of moving straight away from the hole it just tapped. Why is this and what do i do to avoid it? Running edgecam 2009R1 |

| the whole thing is very strange to me, because as said in previous post, if i change to a drill instead of a tap the rapid in Z gives the desired result. I change nothing else, just tap to drill and it works ![]() so maybe i should just give in and use a drill cycle and manually calculate the feed. -Mikel |

| I found a workaround to the problem that is equally weird. I choose translate machining and choose "Move to toolchange" from the previous working position. Will try it on the machine eventually to, I might be fooling myself |
