Newbie- edgecam 8.5 question..

Hi all,
I know its an old version of EdgeCam but at the moment I am stuck with using Version 8.5 as the now retired guy who ran the 2 cnc machines we have wouldnt learn or upgrade.
I have asked the company and version 2009 or 2010 could be imminent but for now Im having to learn this version.
Sooooo my problem is that when I output NC code and transmit it to our Hurco Hawk 5 Knee mill I get multiple Syntax errors manily caused by edgecam putting discription tag lines in the code such as below: ( i havent tried transmitting it to our Hurco VSX24 Bedmill yet)

N2 (POCKET OPERATION)
N3 T2
N4 S1200 M3 M9
N5 G0 X-54.67 Y33.54

etc etc etc...

I have to manually delete the words 'POCKET OPERATION'
which in this particular case was 11 times.

WHY do I need to do this and CAN I ctop it putting the tag in???

I have been informed that the post prossesor is correct and everything is ok.
Another problem is that the guy has now retired and nobody else knows how to use the software or cnc machines..
I am very conversant with computers an I can use Autocad, solidworks and powershape so learning edgcam is reletivly easy..
Its the code that is giving me the headache.

Any help would be much appreciated.

when you go to generate code...in the generate cnc code dialog box uncheck operation names
