Quality high speed spindles on Ebay?

I have been thinking about a micro machine build, and I stumbled across this on eBay:

NSK Nakanishi NR-303 Ultra High Speed Spindle 30,000 rpm - Standard Size Chuck | eBay

I was wondering how often these things show up on ebay. Not NSK specifically, but rather just quality high speed spindles in general with less than 2 microns of runout. I am not nearly ready to buy yet, but I have been fretting over spindle sourcing for awhile and this seems like a good deal.

Not sure how frequently they show up

but I thought I'd just point out that that's not a complete spindle assembly. It would need a control unit, for one thing. You don't want to know how much those cost - just to give you a hint, that site they refer you to for more info wants $271 for one collet (which is also not supplied with that unit listed.)

Ah, I thought they just require a VFD. Does nsk have a proprietary collet system so as to prevent people from using collets bought elsewhere?

Given that they come with no VFD or collets, and that they are described as "unsure if they are new or used", by the look of them they certainly look far from new, and may not have the spec of 2 microns now?

It may be well worth it as I don't know what these run for brand new, but it seems a lot to me for what appears to be an incomplete "pull"?

    cheers,
    Ian

Also he is not selling the brush-less motor for it which may be a bit pricey.
