A 4mm per rev lead or ball screw to drive 8' of movement is probably the worst design decision you could possibly make for a CNC machine.

It will be very slow. If you use the Nook crit speed calculator (which is probably over conservative but gives a good idea)

It says the OD is 18mm in the add, not sure what the exact root diameter is, but if we use 16.5mm as the root diameter, and 2385mm as the length as per the advert, and an end fixity of B, we get a max speed of 351 RPM.
351 x 4 = 1404mm/min
1404/25.4 = 55 IPM max speed
93.9 inches / 55 IPM = 1.7 minutes just to jog the table from back to front.
The nook calculator may be conservative and the actual bearing to bearing distance may be a bit less, but that's the ballpark you're looking at.
Perhaps I shouldn't have posted. I just didn't like the though of some poor guy saving all his lunch money to spend $395 USD per screw because the add said it's perfect for an eight foot travel CNC machine. He'd be screwed so to speak. Get it? Little play on words there.
Nic 77 is correct. That small lead would not be appropriate for a lead screw on a larger router. That might make a good pull screw for a tension test fixture.
For a 8 foot table/gantry I would say 25 mm or more lead would be correct. The screw on my 8 foot table has a 40mm lead.
Oh, to be sure, over 8' it would be slow. But maybe the application does not mind?
worst design decision you could possibly make seems a bit overboard though.

Roger, you are correct. You could make it out of paper mache. That would be a worse decision. I withdraw "the worst design decision" from my previous statement and replace it with "a really really bad design decision" in accordance with your objections .
Well...someone thought is was a good idea for something. Somebody manufactured it.
