    Default Jog speed and acceleration

New build first time building a machine. Connected a stepper motor to my gantry for first time. Tested using the jog button\ arrows in kmotion works great. When I do a move command with a .1000 movement works, .2000 movement works, .3000 movement to fast or acceleration to much, stepper motor stalls.

What is the speed and acceleration of the jog buttons and how do I set the max speed and acceleration? I am not sure but think that is causing the stall.

I also have to figure out the setting for steps per inch i'm using a 5mms ballscrew.

    Hi Joe,

You should configure, test, and determine your axes limits using KMotion.exe before running KMotionCNC. See:

    Dynomotion

Regarding axis resolution, it would also depend on Stepper Drivers, gearing, etc. See:

    Dynomotion
