    Default Snapamp set up

I am setting up a snapamp , and have noticed that the one I have has changed since the on line manual was posted.

the ground cable on the snap amp goes to chassis or kflop?

do I use a jumper on jp5 if I am using only 1 board , manual only mentions 2 board layout , also what does the jumper do ?

Does snapamp get 5 volts to run from kflop jp4 to jp6 connection?

I have checked out the manual on line and the wiki , is there another source for info ?

    Hi Gregore,

    Regarding:

    KFLOP

do I use a jumper on jp5 if I am using only 1 board , manual only mentions 2 board layout , also what does the jumper do ?
    Manual states:

JP5 Jumper installed configures a SnapAmp as the 2nd SnapAmp.

So do not install Jumper JP5 on the first or only SnapAmp.

Does snapamp get 5 volts to run from kflop jp4 to jp6 connection?
Yes. As the manual states: JP6 is for Communication and Logic power.

I have checked out the manual on line and the wiki , is there another source for info ?
There are also Forum and Yahoo Group Posts.

    Thanks ,

very slowly this is starting to make some sense ....... there is soooo much to learn when you are coming from just blindly running a CNC machine with no clue as to anything that goes on behind the curtain .
