Hi Emery,
In my opinion Visual Studio is the best development system for C#
I don't believe there are any complete C# CNC GUIs available
I don't understand your last question.

Hello All,
I am working on developing a 4 axis CNC router and would really like to program my KFlop board using C#. I am currently planning to program in Visual Studio Community 2015 with KMotion.Net API version 4.34a. I have a few questions regarding this method:
1. Has anybody programmed KFlop using the KMotion.Net API? and how did they do it?
2. Is there a better software than Visual Studio to program the KFlop board in C#? LabView, etc.?
3. Are there any great C# GUI's available?
4. Is it possible to run KMotion.Net/C# code through the KMotion app?
I greatly cherish any and all feedback.
Thanks,
Emery

Thanks Tom, I appreciate your feedback.
The last questions regards piping the code from the VS environment to the KFlop. I will be coding in VS C# using the KMotion.Net libraries. My question is, can I open my VS project within the KMotion App and run it through there? or will I have to run the code through VS?
Thanks,
Emery
Hi Emery,
I still don't really understand your question. Maybe you are confusing C Programs that run in KFLOP that do real-time functions and C#/C++/VB/Labview/etc. Windows/GUI Programs that run in the PC.
VS2015 is used to develop and debug Windows Programs that run on the PC. After they are developed you can run them on the PC without VS2015 just like any other Windows program.

Thanks Tom,
My question came from a state of misunderstanding but with your feedback I have been able to gain an understanding of what I must do.

As metioned in earlier posts, I am programming the KFlop using KMotion.Net C# in the Visual Studio environment. I am trying to make a simple program to jog the spindle to validate this method. I have minimal programming experience and am wondering if one of the many experts that post to this forum has and is willing to share a code example of what this code may look like.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
Emery
I am also interested in hiring someone with experience programming in KMotion.Net API to program simple routines.
If you or someone you know would like to learn more about this great opportunity, please contact me @ 425-248-1833

I, (and maybe others), are curious as to what you want to do that can't be done in G-code (or custom Kflop C programs) through KmotionCNC?

Hi Emery,
The SimpleFormsCS is a Simple C# Example that includes Jogging an Axis. Have you taken a look at it?As metioned in earlier posts, I am programming the KFlop using KMotion.Net C# in the Visual Studio environment. I am trying to make a simple program to jog the spindle to validate this method. I have minimal programming experience and am wondering if one of the many experts that post to this forum has and is willing to share a code example of what this code may look like.
It includes:
#1 Jogging an Axis
#2 Moving an Axis
#3 DRO display of axis position
#4 Compiling/Downloading/Executing C Programs in KFLOP
#5 Displays Console Messages
#6 Sends Console Messages
#7 Enable/Disables an Axis
#8 Tests a connection to a 2nd KFLOP
#9 Test an Automation Command to KMotionCNC
#10 USB upload/download data transfer rates
All with just several pages of code
