First how is the input power wired, and what setting did you set before you ran it, and what motor/spindle are you running
Hello,
Just powered up my all new Huanyang VFD, The Power led turn ON and the display shows a flashing message (AST 1.0) as attached and that's it! It was working fine for two days and now only this flashing message and None of the keys is responding.
When pressing PRGRM button, it alters the program settings menus PD001, PD002 ...etc... but it doesn't show any setting values nor error codes!
It's model HY03D023B 3kW 3PH
What I see a steady red led inside the enclosure but I am not sure if it's relevant to this status.
It doesn't matter if the spindle is connected or not.

Thanks Mactec54,
The input is 220V 1Ph so it's connected to R&S Terminals, I swapped across R-S-T terminals with no help...
The spindle is 3kW 220V , I bought them as one set from Amazon
Amazon.com: 3KW 220V Er20 Collet Air Cooled CNC Spindle Motor and 3kw 220v Vfd Variable Frequency Drive: Home Improvement
I set PD003, PD004, PD006 to 300 HZ
PD141 220V
PD142 1.8A
PD143 2 Pole
PD144 3000
All other settings are left as factory defaults
You have a problem with your amp setting 3Kw will be at least 12 Plus amps 3000/220=13.6 Amps, I don't think they will draw that much though, but still needs to be set to suit your spindle
The wiring normally is used on R & T for best results, if you live in NA you would have 2 Hot wires and a Ground wire going to the VFD Ground Terminal, for your input power conections
You could try and do a ReSet, then you will have to redo the Parameters
Here is a list that should be close to what you need to set for your spindle
Huanyang Mactec54
PD000=0 for Parameter unlock ( 1 ) for Parameter Lock
PD001=0 (1 For Remote Control)
PD002=0
PD003=300
PD004=300
PD005=300
PD007=20
PD008=220
PD009=15
PD010=8
PD011=200 (Adjustable to Suit your Spindle Minimum Speed Setting )
PD13= 08 is for Factory reset, Only use this to set VFD to Factory Default Settings
PD014 Accel=12 ( Adjust to suit)
PD015 Deccl=12 (Adjust to suit) ( PD15 is ignored IF PD26=1 Then the Spindle will Coast to a Stop)
PD141=220 ( Motor Rated Voltage ) (120 for VFD Rated for 120v )
PD142=12 ? ( Motor Max Amps To Suit Your Spindle)
PD143=2 ( Motor Number of Poles)
PD144=3000 (Max Motor RPM) =3,000= (18000)
PD002=1 ( For Remote Pot use )
PD70=0 ( This may need to be set to 1 for normal use )
PD72=300
PD73=200 (Adjustable to Suite Your Spindle)

Try this remove the Control module, this is the part that you are pressing the buttons, disconnect this from the drive, and then replace it, it may reset,
Do this with the Power off
If not the system has locked you out, did you use any code when you first started the drive

Question what is your supply amps on the input power to the VFD
Mactec54
Hi Mactec54,
Unfortunately it did't help I tried also to disconnect the control board from the power board yet still same result..
This is another video how it switches off, it doesn't go through any sequence..it just switches off as if no program is loaded..
I will check the supply amps but don't have a clamp meter right now so will check it early tomorrow.
Hi Mactec54,
The circuit breaker is 30 Amps and 4mm2 cable, so it should be enough, I contacted the factory today and got two tips
Replug the socket on the RHS (#1) which I already did with no help
"Solder" capacitor (#2) in attached photo..it looks already soldered but anyways I will resolder it...hope it works..
Hello Nickoldeon
I seem to have a similar situation
But on the 2.2KW version Hy02d223b
After a long while setting up a bandsaw ,trying out another blade, done another test cut at 30HZ
After which I turned of the machine ....Plugged it out as it still needs some work .......
It showed a LV error code when I plugged it in again .
After watching a video " teardown and repair of AC motor inverter "
I decided to try and troubleshoot mabye a burned tracer or something obvious .
Upon disassembly I noticed a unconnected wire with just a kink at the end .
This wire seems to come from the V output terminal
I GUESSED by the length the wire was, that maybe it was connected to one of the mounting screws
and when I plugged it in again that LED lit up inside the thing
That could be the cause of your one too .!
Needless to say I didn't touch the thing and pulled the plug ..Luckily no smell afterwards
Does anyone know what this should be connected to ?
Happy to take Loadsa pictures
Thanks

Check on the Heat sink there should of been a screw were this wire is mounted. it looks a little different from the normal, so be careful with that wire, so when you lifted up the bottom Board was this attached under the board to the Heatsink, take a photo of the Heatsink just the top that you saw when you unscrewed the screws from in the holes
Mactec54
Hello Mactec54
Ive taken another pic of the heat sink
as you can see its not glaringly obvious that the wire goes anywhere ...
As Ive said I tried connecting it to the main assembly screws only to see a LED illuminate inside !
I've been looking around since and found a piccy of a 1.5KW Huanyang that partially shows the wire
but gives no clue to the final placement .
Thanks for looking ,happy to keep takin piccys

Hi Ttrees,
Your problem is a bit different than mine...I didn't get any error message or any other messages..it was freezing as if the firmware is not loading..Anyways it's solved now..My Inverter is running at the moment so I can't disassemble but I suggest to send your photos to the manufacturer..they did help me..and they can send wiring diagrams to you.
That's their website:
http://www.hy-electrical.com/index_e.asp
and they have a skype account as below but as they are based in China..I had to wake the whole night to chase them for support
